'Anika was born in India and has enjoyed living in Hong Kong for over ten years. Anika has a Bachelor of Science (Honours), Post Graduate Diploma in Early Childhood Education (Honours), Teaching English as a Second Language and a Master of Science (Dean's Honours List). Anika is passionate about teaching early years and is always eager to develop more skills to support children’s learning. As such she has just completed a course in Information Technology in Education (HKU). She has been asked to present her findings at The 24th ICCE Conference held by the Asia-Pacific Society for Computers in Education. In addition, Anika has complimented her qualifications by becoming a Google Certified Educator and is currently doing a PhD in Education from the University of Hong Kong.
Anika has taught a range of curriculum including the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS), Primary Years Program (PYP) and is a strong believer in a child centred approach to learning. She has taught for the last seven years with ESF international Kindergarten and Anfield International Kindergarten. Anika is passionate about naturalistic learning and the benefits that a natural environment can have on child’s development. Her classroom allows students to have daily contact with nature, which helps develop responsibility, cooperation, an appreciation and understanding of the world around them. |
